Holiday Information

The regions of Piemonte in Italy called Langhe and Roero are in one of the most important wine production areas of the country. This fully guided cycling holiday in Italy will take us through rolling hills covered with vineyards and dense woods, taking minor country roads, past ancient castles and hidden hilltop hamlets.
The tour takes place in a farming area which is predominately known for wine and truffles, but also for hazelnuts and fruit. Farmers have always been very pragmatic with the resources that nature provides. They care for the land because that way the land takes care of them. They waste very little. They know something that "city people" don’t; that nature is in charge and we can't fully control it!
In Piemonte people are very serious about their wine and food and during this cycling holiday you will understand why. Vineyards cover most of the hills here and wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco are perfectly paired with dishes that will make each meal a gastronomic event. Towns like Barolo and Alba are perfect stop over places for a taster of what the region has to offer, where strolling through the cobbled streets and sitting in geranium decked piazzas is a great way to end a day on the bike.
Accommodation during your journey is a selection of quality, family-run agriturismi, B&B and hotels.

This holiday is run as a fully guided tour with set departures. However, if you enjoy a little more freedom and flexibility then you can always opt for the self guided version.
