Holiday Information

Piemonte is the destination for this road cycling holiday in Italy. Situated in the far north western corner or Italy, surrounded by the Alps and sharing borders with France and Switzerland it is something of a hidden gem for cyclists.
Almost half of Piemonte can be described as mountainous whilst most of the remainder is considered hilly and its terrain is higher and perhaps more challenging than the description "the foot of the mountains", as the literal transalation of its name, might suggest.
Other regions in Italy such as Tuscany, the mountains of the Dolomites and the Italian Alps might spring to mind before Piemonte when considering a cycling destination, however Piemonte is not without a cycling culture and the region has given the nation many fine professional riders, none more famous than "Il Campionissimo", Champion of Champions, World Champion, 5 times winner of the Giro d'Italia and twice winner of the Tour de France, Fausto Coppi himself.
Our tour of the region, which takes us from Turin all the way to the turquoise shores of the Ligurian Sea, is not without challenges but with daily distances generally between only 50 and 60 miles, it should appeal to riders who want to experience mountain riding without taking themselves to the extremes of their physical ability.
A moderately-challenging road cycling holiday for those who want to combine excellent riding through stunning scenery with superb cuisine, fine wine and relaxing evenings in beautiful and culturally-rich locations.
